Elemental Wars

Since ancient times, the true rulers of the world has been decided by the fight of the Elemental Wars. 10 princes/princesses will be randomly selected. Each will have 4 basic elemental guards they will choose. Earth, Fire, Water and Air. Each of these "guards" will have a sword related to their element. However each prince/princess will have a special element such as poison, shadow, light, electricity, space, time, etc.

Once a prince/princess defeat another prince/princess, they gain the special element. Therefore another guard, thus giving them an advantage.

The winner of the contest will be the ruler of the next century.

The main background of the story is that while the elements were free, Time created a trap for all of the elements at the time. He lured them to one destination attempting to trap them in his game for all of time. However he misfired and accidentally captured himself in the game.

The Elemental Guardians will be human, and they will not be invincible because of their powers. In the present a counter has been presented and a resistant will be formed by using weapons that nullify the Elemental powers.

(I have to say this isn't my best idea, it seems sort of unoriginal, but it's decent enough)
